Santa is Coming

It’s Christmas Eve and Santa is coming!  Santa has been to our house before. Our old house not our new house. But this year is different.

This year?

The Big One knows Santa is coming.

It is magical. This is the first year that the Christmas magic has come alive in our house, from the magical mystery star on the top of the tree that acts as Santa’s guiding light (and stops the big one trying to climb to get it)

Tonight once the boys are in bed and the husband has collected their present from the airport; Grandma! we will be headed up to bed so Santa can come leave a little Christmas sparkle.

He can chomp on the gingerbread cookie we made in the day, after our nursery batch went down so well. Drink the *as yet to be decided* drink left out for him, Rudolph can have a crunch on the carrot and he can stomp his snowy boots on the floor.

Because this year. This year is the first year that Santa magic is coming alive in our house, and I can’t wait.

Merry Christmas Everyone.

What excitement you must all feel … totally different experience when children know what’s going on. I find their increasing awareness mesmerising and fantastically infectious. 🙂 the Big One is obviously in for a treat, as well as you and your husband. Enjoy. #12daysofparenting

Hope you’ve had a great day, Laura. Christmas is such a magical time when you have kids who understand and believe in Santa. We’re just at the peak time with our three (8, 5 and 3) I reckon – by next year I suspect Isaac will have stopped believing but this year all three have embraced Christmas fully and it’s been wonderful to share that with them.

Oh they really are wonderful ages, I love the magic and the excitement from the 3 year old this year, though his response was a little underwhelming. I think maybe he was too excited. We had a wonderful day despite the stinking cold the Baby picked up. How was your day?
