Showing my age and considering cosmetic work!

Something I’ve found as I’ve gotten older is the conversations with my friends have changed.

We’ve gone from chatting about boys and dates, to child woes and fitness issues. Last week we had an hour long conversation about collagen and facial care.

A far cry from the conversations going on in my twenties.

Did you know how to use Vitamin A on your face to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles? I didn’t, but I do now. I also know that I used too much and it caused my skin to dry out but that’s just me being hung ho and wanting instant overnight results.

You’re meant to use it sparingly, starting once a week and building up.

After we all laughed at my patchy face and impatience for instant results the chat turned to cosmetic surgery.

Would you or wouldn’t you?

We were a divided camp on what we would and wouldn’t change.

The permanence of cosmetic surgery being the worry for most, then one of our friends piped up that cosmetic surgery was more than just the breast augmentations we were all imagining (ala Jordan style – remember those page 3 days?!)

Absolute Cosmetic Medicine Joondalup has a variety of such options available. Did you know you could smooth out those wrinkles overnight with wrinkle relaxers? They write; “Wrinkle Relaxer and Anti Wrinkle Injections is one of the most popular non-surgical cosmetic medical treatments worldwide.

As we age, we notice the formation and deepening of fine lines and wrinkles. Wrinkle Relaxer is a purified protein that causes temporary paralysis of the muscle it is injected into, this reduces dynamic expression lines.

The effect can last between 3 and 4-months and are not permanent. With regular treatments, you can increase the duration of the effect.”

Instant gratification for those who don’t have the patience to smear on the retinol and go through the build up, my tube is languishing in the back of a drawer somewhere….

More than that, there are multiple surgical and non surgical choices available for both body and face. The world of cosmetic surgery is changing and opening up for everyone.

It’s not all page three boob jobs, now if you’ll excuse me I’m off to browse!
