I was a little late to the party with Instagram. Sure I enjoyed flicking through photos now and then, but I never really got sucked into the world. Until, one day, a chance conversation on a blogging group meant that I had a new found respect for Instagram.
“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever…it remembers little things long after you have forgotten everything”
So my love affair with Instagram began. And with it, a complete love of all things Instagram, especially the beautiful inspiring photos posted by some of my favourite mummy bloggers.
My Top 5 Instagram Mums
Sian – Quite Frankly She Said
Sian’s photos of her beautiful boys really resonate with me. Candid shots of childhood captured forever. Brotherly love forever remembered. Wobbly steps caught on camera.
A feed filled with love and tenderness.
“A mother holds her son’s hand for a while but holds his heart for a lifetime.” Little N has only just turned 3 but already he holds my hand less and less. He has become so bold and brave over the last year. My quiet, sensitive boy has a newfound confidence and growing independence. I am proud of him but quietly sad, too, that this time seems to slip through my fingers so quickly. But mostly I am proud. #autumn
Amy – Mr and Mrs T Plus Three
Amy’s photos are all breathtakingly beautiful. Be it a moment between two sisters, a beautifully arranged quote or deliciously tempting food, every single photo speaks to you, every single photo tells you a story without the need for words.
#tbt to afternoon cuddle sleeps with this little one. Oh where have the baby days gone 😪 A photo posted by Amy Treasure (@mrandmrstplus3) on
Aby – You Baby Me Mummy
Aby’s is one of the first feeds I head to check out each day for my daily dose of gorgeous Baby shots. It’s also what inspired me to realise that I want my story to be similar, for my IG story to be of my boys.
Stunningly shot portraits, moments captured from muddy puddles to fairy dust, Aby’s Instagram feed brings you the magical moments of childhood.
“Close your eyes and look into your heart. Feel the magic within. Make a wish and blow kisses to the Universe. Believe in the Fairy that lives in you.” Author : Unknown May you always have magic in your heart, tales of adventures on your lips and may you always believe in the power of the simple, ordinary moments, that bring us so much joy everyday, if we let them.
Katie – Mummy Daddy Me
Katie is a wonderful photographer with adorable subjects. Her Instagram feed shows, as she says, that the ordinary moments are sometimes the sweetest. My favourite thing about Katie’s Instagram is the bond you can see between Mads and LL, a truly beautiful sisterly relationship of love, trust and fun (though I am sure they have their moments, don’t we all??)
I took this photo of my little munchkins earlier. I do love them and the way they love each other. ❤️ A photo posted by Katie (@mummydaddyme) on
I’m really looking forward to seeing how Katie’s photography and picture dynamics change when the girls little brother arrives next year.
Sara – Keeping Up with the Joneses
Sara’s feed is a calming place of beauty. Wonderfully lit portrait shots, capturing a cheeky glint in the eye, the love of a toy, and the utter joy in the simple things in life.
