“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
Kahlil Gibran
This year I am taking part in Living Arrows, a weekly photography project taking photos of my boys week on week, last week was our photos were from a trip to the swimming pool, and my subsequent heart attack from how high my husband was throwing the boys in the air.
This week we are all about Spiderman.
Spiderman, spiderman does whatever a spider can….
From the child who hated costumes more than life itself it seems my eldest has done an abrupt about turn. He cannot get enough of this Spiderman costume. He comes home from school, hunts out wherever I may have hidden it and that’s it then. He is stripped naked and into the costume immediately. Now, lets take a moment to remember we live in Doha where it is hotting up at the moment. The temperature gauge is starting to hit 40 on a regular basis and the Spiderman suit is made out of the oh-so-breathable polyester.
One sweaty child.
Still he doesn’t let it stop him, he even bakes as Spiderman….
Not to be outdone, and getting round the fact that the costume is miles too big for him, the Baby is not to be left out. I repeat the baby WILL NOT BE LEFT OUT.
I present, Spiderboy.
