If you could own your private jet, would you? Not having to wait in the queue with other passengers, being able to recline the seat without feeling like you are crushing the person behind you, bringing as many liquids as you feel like it, not dealing with the stress of finding your seat when 100 other people are trying to do the same…the list of advantages are endless and I’m sure if you could, you would. At least, I know I would!
I can understand why some celebrities have to fly private not just for the luxury of it but for their own privacy and safety. As this article on The Travel mentions, “just think about all of the people taking pictures of them and watching everything they do.”
Celebrities often use handling agents to look after their jets and products to these businesses are supplied companies such as Aviation Spares & Repairs. Some of the products that are used to help service these celebrity jets include aircraft maintenance stands and aircraft maintenance equipment.
These five celebrities don’t settle for flying commercial whether that is coach or first class, the only way to fly is in their private aircraft.
Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie is not only a jet owner she is also a pilot! According to People magazine, she has been flying since 2004 and it was her son Maddox who inspired her to start. Now, she owns a Cirrus SR22, a four-seat aircraft perfect for short trips.

John Travolta
John Travolta is definitely the most eccentric out of the list. Not only does he own a Qantas Boeing 707 but his house is an airport! His home is located in the Jumbolair Aviation Estates, a residential airpark, and it has two runways that lead to his front door.

Oprah Winfrey
Oprah told CNBC that her biggest indulgence is owning a private jet, however, she decided to do it after the last time she flew commercial when she was asked by a woman why she wasn’t hugging people as she did on TV and how she wanted a hug. After this interaction, she called her lawyer and decided to purchase her first Gulfstream IV jet.

Gisele Bundchen
Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her partner Tom Brady own a Gulfstream G550 so they can fly from their LA home to Gisele’s work in Paris and Brady’s work in Boston. Plus, Gisele is a trained helicopter pilot on behalf of the UN, a certification that she received while working as a goodwill ambassador on an Environmental Programme with the goal to find an alternative source of jet fuel.

Harrison Ford
Harrison Ford has always been passionate about flying but it wasn’t until he was 52 that he started flying. Now, he owns 10 private jets and his newest addition to his collection of planes is an $18million Cessna Citation Sovereign private jet.
