Week Nine #rememberingthesedays Round Up

Clare from Mudpie Fridays and I have launched our very own Instagram Community #rememberingthesedays for photographs that capture the special moments in family life.  Every Sunday we will be sharing our favourites on our blogs and over on Instagram.

Nine weeks in and we have broken the 3,000 barrier, thank you all so much for joining in and sharing your precious moments.

The start of school

This week has been a week of big changes in our life out here in Qatar. We have signed our house and are moving in next week no more hotel living yippee! It has also seen the start of school for my eldest. The way that schools work out here is that they start in the pre-school the September after they turn 3, being an October baby the Big One is in fact nearly 4 and was oh so ready for school. He also looks totally adorable in his uniform!

In Doha the working, and therefore the school, week runs from Sunday through to Thursday. School also starts the September after they turn three {though it’s really pre-school} Which means that today was this little monkeys first day at school. He was a little apprehensive when I dropped him off in his classroom for his settling in week, but I couldn’t have had a happier child bounce up to me when I came to pick them up. Apparently today he’s played, painted, sang songs and made friends who’s names he can’t remember. Just too cute!

Jumping for joy

This week has also seen monkey start school, I love this photo of him taken literally jumping for joy on his last day before school. Then he started and loved it! Starting school is such a big milestone that when it goes well and they don’t want to leave is both a relief and a wrench….

This was taken on our last day out before starting school! When I picked Monkey up yesterday be couldn’t understand why he couldn’t stay longer!! So I will take the first day as a resounding success. Of course I’m not sure how he’s going to feel in two weeks when he realises its five days every week!
